The American Society for the History of Rhetoric (ASHR) aims to catalyze the study of the history of rhetoric in the United States and to feature the results. To keep that circle virtuous, ASHR welcomes work with capacious (including critical) understandings of “history” and of “rhetoric.” A forthcoming issue of our journal, Journal for the History of Rhetoric, does the same for “America” (see here).
For information about ASHR’s past, consult this brief history.
